The research group of Prof. Dr. Gronnier, Plant Cell Biology at the TUM Weihenstephan campus, investigates cell biological aspects of plant immunity, development, and evolution. The group employs multidisciplinary ap-proaches, including genetics, biochemistry, live-cell imaging, and high-resolution microscopy, to decipher fun-damental aspects of cellular signal transduction, with a particular focus on the spatial and temporal regulation of membrane-based molecular processes.

This work leverages generative AI to synthesize standard cardiac MRI views (e.g., 4-chamber, short-axis) from routine localizers. Although low in quality, localizers provide comprehensive 3D heart coverage. The goal is to enable view synthesis and plane interpolation to aid scan planning, diagnosis, and efficient cardiac imaging.

The project focuses on the microbial production of egg proteins using Bacillus subtilis. By leveraging genetic engineering and precision fermentation, we aim to develop sustainable, animal-free alternatives to conventional agriculture. The work combines molecular biology, strain development, and bioprocess design.

The Chair of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Real-Time Systems offers a Master’s thesis focused on generating ETSI-compliant Collective Perception Messages (CPMs) from offline V2X datasets. The goal is to design a modular pipeline that converts annotated objects into CPM structures, derives dynamic attributes, models uncertainties, and provides a reproducible CPM-ready data framework to support cooperative perception, fusion, and communication research.
