Master Thesis with Option for employment as Research Assistant (HiWi, 50%)

In parallel in the project InspectAI we are testing different landing platforms for automated insect cameras and insect identification. Here, we are seeking a Research Assistant (50%, E12 position depending on Anhalt University of Applied Sciences). Here, the study area is near the Bernburg (Saale) campus. Both topics can be combined for a master's thesis .
Tasks
• Paid tasks (50%): installation, testing, and data analysis of landing platforms for an automated insect camera systems
• Thesis (additional hours): Fieldwork support as assistant with wild bee tracking using harmonic radar (approximately a month part time)
• Candidates combining HiWi work and thesis will be prioritized.
Profile
To be part of this project your should be enrolled in a MSc student in biology, ecology, environmental or agricultural sciences. You should have a strong interest in pollinator ecology and field research. Additionally, you should be willing to temporarily relocate to Saxony-Anhalt (up to 7 months). You should have a careful and reliable working style. Driving license desirable.

Note that: Accommodation during fieldwork can be arranged but is not financed (guest house ~20 EUR/night or shared flats)
