[Abschlussarbeiten, Bachelorarbeite] In situ proteomics and N-glycomics

05.09.2025, Abschlussarbeiten, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten

Student Thesis: In situ Proteomics and N-glycomics

Topic: In situ Proteomics and N-glycomics

Why is this exciting?

Glycomics provides sensitive and specific biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy development by detecting changes in glycan structures and glycosylation patterns. Proteomics, in turn, helps identify disease-specific biomarkers by studying protein expression, modifications, and interactions. By analyzing both together with mass spectrometry imaging, you can open a new dimension for molecular analysis and gain a deeper understanding of tumor biology.

What you will gain 🚀

  • Hands-on experience in mass spectrometry imaging
  • Solid knowledge in proteomics in situ analysis
  • Insights into tumor pathology
  • Understanding of method development in molecular research

Requirements 📌

These projects require availability for laboratory work 2–3 days per week on-site at the Institute of Pathology, Technical University of Munich (TUM).
